Before submitting, please make sure your manuscript fits the journal’s scope and follows the journal’s requirements (see “Instructions to authors"). IMPORTANT - manuscripts that do not meet the journal's requirements will be returned for resubmission.
Submit your manuscript, formatted according to INFEDU requirements, via the EJMS submission system here: Electronic Journal Management System
INFEDU uses the EJMS system for submission and the full peer‑review workflow. Authors can track progress by logging in and using the Author role.
New users: click “Register with this site” and select “Informatics in Education (INFEDU)”.
Peer review model (blind review)
INFEDU uses a blind review process. The manuscript file sent to reviewers must be anonymised (no author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, funding, or other identifying information).
Two‑step submission process
Step 1 — Initial submission (for peer review)
Goal: quick and low‑friction submission for review.
Upload in EJMS:
1) Anonymised manuscript (required) – PDF
Include: title, abstract (150–250 words), keywords, main text, references, and all tables/figures (embedded or at the end). Do NOT include author information in the anonymised manuscript PDF.
2) Title page (required) – PDF or DOCX
Include: Author(s) details; Author statements (including ethics statement); Author declaration.
For details, see “Instructions to authors".
Title Page template
To reduce avoidable technical returns at initial editorial triage, authors are strongly encouraged to use the INFEDU Title Page Template. Upload the completed Title Page as a separate non-anonymised file in EJMS. It is for the Editorial Office only and is not sent to reviewers.
- Download the INFEDU Title Page Template (.docx)
- The anonymised manuscript PDF must not include author names, affiliations, emails, ORCID iDs, acknowledgements, funding details, or other identifying information.
- For all public INFEDU templates and forms, see INFEDU Downloads.
3) Cover letter (optional, brief) – PDF or DOCX
We require a cover letter for resubmitted manuscripts, indicating the ID number of the original submission and providing a detailed response to the reviewers' initial comments (if applicable). Please treat resubmitted manuscripts as new submissions, so do not include responses to reviewers' comments, etc., directly in the manuscript; instead, include them in the cover letter. With your initial submission, please include a cover letter if you have additional information that INFEDU should consider.
Important: Do NOT include author information in the anonymised manuscript PDF. Please also remove identifying information from file properties/metadata if possible.
Step 2 — After acceptance (final files, within 2 weeks)
After a paper is accepted, authors will be asked to provide production‑ready files within two weeks:
A) Final editable source (choose one)
- Microsoft Word (.docx), OR
- LaTeX bundle (.zip) using the INFEDU LaTeX template (infedu.cls / infedu.bst) including all figures and bibliography files.
B) Separate high‑quality figures/tables (if applicable)
C) Final front-matter (only after acceptance)
The accepted final version must include:
- full author names and affiliations (including emails for the corresponding author)
- acknowledgements (if any)
- author biographies (short; optional unless requested by the Editors)
D) Author’s guarantee form (signed)
Please complete and sign the “Author’s guarantee form” (may be signed by one author on behalf of co‑authors). Template:
Preferred: upload the signed form in EJMS (as a supplementary / editorial file).
If upload is not possible, send it by email to the Editorial Office, clearly stating your EJMS submission ID.
