Informatics in Education (INFEDU) publishes peer-reviewed research in informatics (computer science) education and closely related “computing in education” studies. For authors: before submitting (60-second checklist)

1) Fit & article type

Check the journal scope and choose the right manuscript type (Research Article, Review, etc.). Submissions that are out of scope or not ready for review may be returned.

2) Blind review preparation

INFEDU uses a blind peer review process. Your review manuscript must be anonymised (no author names/affiliations/acknowledgements/funding; remove identifying metadata where possible).

3) Two-step submission workflow

Initial submission is designed to be low-friction (typically an anonymised PDF for review). A separate Title Page (not for review) is required and should include author details and mandatory declarations (ethics/COI/AI disclosure where applicable).

4) Core transparency declarations (required when applicable)

  • Originality / prior dissemination disclosure
  • Ethics/consent and privacy safeguards (especially minors/schools)
  • Funding + conflicts of interest statement
  • Data/materials availability statement
  • Generative AI disclosure statement

After acceptance (production stage)

After acceptance, authors provide production-ready source files (Word or LaTeX), high-quality figures/tables, and a signed author guarantee form as described in Instructions for authors and Submit your article.
