Informatics in Education (INFEDU) invites expressions of interest from researchers and experienced reviewers who would like to join our editorial team as Associate Editors.
About INFEDU
INFEDU is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing rigorous research on informatics (computer science) education and closely related “computing in education” studies across educational levels (from pre-primary and school to higher education and informal learning).
INFEDU is a Diamond Open Access journal (no APCs) and publishes under a CC BY 4.0 licence.

Why we are recruiting
To strengthen subject-matter coverage, reduce individual workload, and further improve review quality and timeliness, INFEDU is expanding its team of Associate Editors.
What Associate Editors do
- Act as handling editor for manuscripts in their area(s) of expertise.
- Select and invite qualified peer reviewers; oversee the review process.
- Provide a clear, evidence-based recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief.
- Support consistent editorial standards, research integrity, and constructive feedback to authors.
- Follow INFEDU’s ethics and conflicts-of-interest principles.
Expected time commitment
Workload is flexible and agreed in advance. As a typical guideline, Associate Editors handle approximately 6–12 manuscripts per year (around one per month or less). We aim for realistic workloads and respect reviewers’ and editors’ time.
Who we are looking for
- Strong expertise and publication record in computing/informatics education or closely related fields (e.g., computational thinking, programming education, teacher education, assessment, learning analytics/AI in computing education).
- Prior experience as a peer reviewer and commitment to timely editorial decisions.
- High standards of research integrity and responsible scholarship.
- Interest in supporting a Diamond Open Access publishing model.
